Tornado history:
The first Tornado ever recorded was on July 1643 in Massachusetts. At this time, no one knew to call it a Tornado, so they just called it a "whirl-wind". The deadliest and worst Tornado ever recorded in the U.S. is the Tri-State Tornado, which killed more than 695 people and injured more than 2,000 others. This Tornado took place on March 15, 1925 and traveled through Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana for more than 300 miles, with winds up to 265 miles per hour. The worst Tornado in Alabama history was on April 27, 2011 and affected the counties of Marion, Franklin, Lawrence, Morgan, Limestone, and Madison. It killed around 72 people.
